囧rz Originally I hoped that this sleek and stylish device can lower my burden physically. But microsoft has really done a miserable job in supporting TV connections. I have two sets of Sony TV and surface dock, one in my office and one at home. Since I upgraded from Win 7 to win 8.1 and later wiin10, it has become a nightmare every time when I slide the surface pro to the docks. Win most time just could not find the TV with hdmi or VGA adaptor to minidisplay port in the docks. I usually have to switch on and off the surface pro like 30 mins or one hour so that finally Win finds the TV connections. A total waste time. I asked Microsoft for help twice. The first time, they asked me to download a newer version of Win 8.1 It worked for a couple of days and eventually the problem emerged again to a even worse nightmare.
Then I hoped Win 10 could help. But it does not. Then I contacted MS for help. They sent me mail to guide me to reset the memory of TV connections manually. Then it worked one day. But then the problem emerged and remained the same.
I have also surveyed the internet and found this has been a lingering problem that MS did not solve or did not care at all. I am really disappointed. I think we should not buy this product until its docking station has an hdmi or vga output or somewhat. Please don't buy it if you seriously depends on the surface pro in your profession.
